Résumé (jaquette) : George Stanley (Sidney Chaplin) is burnt alive in a horrifying moment when his car plunges over a lonely montain road. His grieving wife Brenda (Susan Strasberg) is plied with strange little pills and alcohol by her wealthy, eccentric sister Millie (Faith Domergue), who has never forgiven Brenda for stealing George away from her.
Police detective Jerry Stevens (Charles Knox Robinson) is suspicious about George's death and decides to investigate the two sisters by posing as a surfer on the beach by Millie's seaside mansion. His amorous advances towards the young widow Brenda infuriates her highly-strung sister who has recently been discharged from a mental sanitorium.
The bloody corpse of Millie's half-witted handyman is found on the beach and the nightmare increases for the two sisters.
In a terrifying 'Psycho' shower scene, the nude and blood covered Millie, on one heart-stopping moment, is pushed oved the brink into abyss of hysterical madness (...)
